In response to concern over rising costs and ecological waste problems, Inland Vacuum has developed a reclamation process for used or contaminated mechanical and diffusion fluids which serves to recover and/or prolong the life of your investment in various vacuum fluids. Mechanical Pump Fluids Inland's reclamation process involves neutralization, particle filtration, degassing, and vacuum molecular distillation with typical yields in excess of 85%. Through this reclamation process, Inland can guarantee a fluid that meets or exceeds original specifications. The recycled fluid is always stringently tested to insure that it meets original specifications before it is returned to the customer. The exact cost savings vary, but average out at 60%. Diffusion Pump Fluids It is a well known fact that all vacuum diffusion pump oils are contaminated and thermally cracked during the operation of product vacuum systems. Inland Vacuum has discovered a reprocessing method for recycling up to 95% of contaminated or degraded diffusion pump oils which restores the oil to its original level of purity and performance. With increases shortages of the silicones and of the pump fluid derived from petroleum and petro chemical feedstocks, coupled with rapidly accelerating costs and waste problems, the profit advantages of Inland's processes are very attractive. Inland's recycling procedure is a multistaged process utilizing a continuous high vacuum still which removes contaminated compounds from your process and the heavy cracked oil contaminates in the final distillation. This process has been used to successfully recover 3,000 hour old DC705 oil from space chambers, DC704 used in optical coating, our Invoil 20 and Convoil 20 used in vacuum metallizing, and Santovac 5 used in the electronics field among others. Highly refined reprocessing techniques have also permitted effective recovery of dielectric fluids such as DC200 and DC550. We guarantee the resultant to be equal or superior to new fluid. Without advanced knowledge of the condition of the contaminated oil, the reprocessing cost is based upon the total quantity sent to Inland. Transportation is the customer's responsibility.
