Fomblin Y grades are perfluorinated polyether inert fluids for use as lubricants in vacuum pumps. Fombin fluids are a mixture of fluorinated polymers obtained by a photochemical process that begins with hexafluoropropylene. Since the Fomblin chemical chain contains only carbon, fluorine and oxygen atoms, these fluids have exceptional properties such as: |

Fomblin y hvac grades |
Fomblin Y HVAC fluids have been specially developed in order to combine narrow molecular weight range and controlled viscosity with an extremely low vapor pressure. Thus, they provide superior performance in high vacuum applications, especially systems exposed to aggressive gases. There are several advantages to using Fomblin Y HVAC fluids in diffusion pumps: · Will not polymerize when exposed to oxygen, ionizing radiation or accelerated subatomic particles. The system stays free of varnish and deposits from fluid decomposition. · Non-flammable · Resistant to oxidation of explosion and hot fluid can be exposed repeatedly to air without harm to the fluid while running the pumps. · Inert to most reactive chemicals, the fluid can be used in direct contact with materials such as UF6, F2, BF3, without harm to the fluid. |
Fomblin yl-vac rp inert fluids |
Fomblin YL-Vac RP incorporates a new patented Fomblin anti-rust additive which enables the fluids to withstand even the most harsh chemical environments. The additive, based upon the Fomblin perfluoro-polyether structure, does not affect the chemical resistance and high vacuum performance of the Fomblin YL-Vac fluids. |
Fomblin sv inert fluids |
Fomblin SV is an advanced inert perfluorinated fluid with a back migration rate of virtually zero. This fluid is excellent in dry etcher and CVD applications without investing in dry pump technology. |
Fomblin inert high vacuum grease |
Inert High Vacuum Grease is a combination of an extremely low vapor pressure perfluoroalkylpolyester oil and a fluorocarbon resin thickener. These homogenous, white, buttery greases are designed for use in high vacuum environments operative where exposure to corrosive gases is probable. Inert High Vacuum Grease is not degraded or dissolved by most solvents, acids, bases, or other highly reactive chemicals, and can be cleaned from surfaces by dissolving the oil portion with solvent. |
