| Convalex-10 is a purified, 5 ring polyphenyl ether, synthetic diffusion pump fluid. Because it is thermally and chemically stable, it is extremely useful for pumping corrosive gases. Unlike silicone fluids, there is no danger of depositing electrically insulating films or contamination on otherwise clean sources. Convalex-10 can achieve pressures of 10-10 torr without any form of degradation. It requires no special handling or precautions. |
